RAM Problems

The RAM on the Cube PC we installed back in September 2012 packed up - the terminals are rusted. I ordered new RAM from a local PC repair shop in Cape Town which will also install everything. According to the technician, the terminals on the new RAM are gold plated which will hopefully last longer and not rust. We have to find a better way to protect the electronics on Revelations. Far too many electronic equipment have fail so far due to rust; Furuno radar motherboard, Furuno NavNET VX2 chartplotter motherboard, ICOM 802 Antenna Tuner, electric pumps, speakers, 2 x amplifiers, Paradox alarm and most of the sensors, Sailor 250 FleetBroadband motherboard and a couple of other gear.

This is crazy!!!
Any ideas or advise how to stop rust on electronic gear - especially the PC boards?

I know way too well how the environment can cause damage to stuff, so I decided to have ALL my electronics protected. All boards, all contacts, everything. Now about how to - there are a lot of that kind of stuff currently available in spray form. Google for "Conformal coating". I have been using acrylic spray, but may need something better for salt-water environment. I may look into http://www.aitechnology.com/products/conformal-coatings/ this stuff, looks promising. But anyway, ordinary acrylic PCB protection spray is available in any electronic store.
